Assisted Living Administrator 

The Administrator is responsible for the overall day to day operations including, but not limited to, ensuring compliance with all Wisconsin State laws, rules, regulations, and company policies and procedures including knowledge about state DHS 83 rules and regulations. They must be skilled in recruitment, managing, staff training and development, personnel administration, developing and processing direct reports, and have the compassion to ensure the delivery of outstanding care and services to our residents.

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate, life-enhancing care.

  2. Provide leadership, development, mentoring, and coaching of staff including proactively solving problems and resolving issues.

  3. Coordinate and manage the care levels for residents.

  4. Maintain high degree of resident satisfaction through consistent delivery of high quality services. Administer annual resident satisfaction survey.

  5. Ensure safe medication management; set-up, administration, medication disposal, and ordering under the direction or resident’s physician.

  6. Complete monthly, quarterly, yearly, or as needed, paperwork, filings, and documentations as required by the DHS.

  7. Contact family as needed in a timely manner.

  8. Develop and implement policies and procedures as needed.

  9. Oversee direct cares provided by staff to residents.

  10. Participates as an active member of the team, and carry out additional responsibilities and projects that promote the growth, development, and continued success of our employees.

  11. Perform full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching, disciplining, training and developing employees, payroll; planning, assigning and directing work.

  12. Develop and maintain positive internal and external client, business, and community relationships.

  13. Develops documents for clients such as Pre-admission Screening, Admission and Service Agreements, Statements of Work and Letters of Intent and similar as needed.

  14. Coordinates the provision of care to residents through the process of assessment, planning, charting, monitoring, intervention, and evaluation.

  15. Provides care to residents without regard to race, color, creed, age, sex, handicap, or place of national origin.

  16. Promotes a work environment that  a high level of customer service skills between coworkers, residents, family members, etc.

  17. Develop and update individual service and care plans on a regular basis and update as needed.

  18. Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with residents, family members, visitors, health professionals, managed care organizations, and other personnel while assuring confidentiality of resident information.

  19. Respond to medical emergencies for residents, assess situations and take appropriate action.

  20. Coordinate and participate in educational training for employees and department meetings as required.

  21. Maintains strict code of confidentiality regarding individuals, families and private employee matters.

  22. Make appointments and arrange transportation as needed.

  23. Remain current on changes in health and safety regulations, employee policies, and emergency procedures.

  24. Ensure homes and properties are up to Cedar Ridge standards of excellence through frequent inspections.

  25. Develop and enforce work standards, methods and procedures for efficient operations.

  26. Requires 24/7 on-call status and must be able to respond to emergencies at the home if needed.

  27. Respond to residents and family’s concerns and complaints in a timely manner.

  28. Demonstrate good judgment, perform excellent critical thinking skills, and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment.

  29. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required by management.

 

Qualifications:

  • Supportive of Cedar Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care’s philosophy, mission statement, values, and code of ethics.

  • A licensed RN in the State of Wisconsin is preferred; or a minimum of an Associates degree in a health care related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in healthcare.

  • Ability to work effectively as a team leader.

  • Exceptional organization, time management, and customer service skills.  Must be able to multi-task effectively. 

  • Extremely proficient in Word, Excel, Internet, and other related software.

  • Performs the ability to act accordingly in emergency situations.

 

Caregiver 

Caregivers will assist with activities of daily living, provide compassionate care to residents, and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction of the Administrator. We offer a positive work environment where together we make a difference in the lives of the residents that call Cedar Ridge home.

Job Summary:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living according to their care plans

  • Provide compassionate, life enriching care to residents

  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment

  • Monitor residents and report any changes in condition

  • Ensure HIPAA privacy of resident information

  • Communicate and interact in a professional and respectful manner with residents, families, visitors, and counterparts

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years or older

  • Experience preferred - training provided

  • Ability to read, write and follow instructions

  • Must be able to multi-task, and work effectively and efficiently

  • Must be reliable

Starting Pay is $12/hr if required CBRF training has been completed or upon completion; plus $1 NOC differential. Training is provided.

Experience, education and additional training are also considered and factored into starting base pay.
