House Manager

The primary role of the House Manager is to assist the RN Administrator in the day to day operations and services provided at Cedar Ridge. The House Manager must have strong organizational and management skills and be dedicated to learning the details of the home, functions and all policies and procedures. The House Manager should be welcoming to all residents, staff and visitors and always portray the organization in a positive, considerate manner. They must have the compassion to ensure the delivery of outstanding care and services to the residents of Cedar Ridge. This position is a member of the Management Team and functions as such within Cedar Ridge.

 

All care and services will be provided in accordance with:

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Assist Administrator.

  • Assist and oversee, coach, and mentor care team in all aspects of their daily responsibilities.

  • Assist in the operation of the facility in accordance with the established policies, procedures and standards.

  • Provide resident-directed services that honor individual lifestyles and preferences.

  • Support care team in creating a positive environment where residents have opportunities to participate in purposeful activities.

  • Assist with and oversee required staff training.

  • Medication administration as set up by RN

  • Responsible for creating, printing and distribution of staff schedules. Assist with staffing conflicts and attendance issues.

  • Coordinate and schedule transportation to resident’s appointments as needed.

  • Assist with the hiring, interviewing and orientation of new staff members.

  • Update, print, and distribute monthly paperwork and checklists.

  • Monitor and report changes in resident’s health, emotional, and physical condition(s) in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Monitor and maintain charting documents; nurses notes, activity notes, etc.

  • Interface with family members of residents to obtain and exchange information appropriate to providing highest level of care to residents.

  • Assist with menu planning, shopping, errands, transports, etc. as needed.

  • Maintains a safe and healthy working environment and use safe work methods and procedures in accordance with Cedar Ridge standards.

  • Assist and maintain and develop relationships with community agencies providing services of benefit to the facility.

  • Act as a role model for all staff demonstrating a high standard of services that supports our mission and values.

  • Participate and attend required training and staff meetings.

  • Keep lines of communication open with Management Team regarding any concerns, issues, suggestions, etc.

 Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Healthcare Management or similar or 2 years experience in related field.

  • Prior experience with services in assisted living and familiarity with Assisted Living Regulations preferred.

  • Strong organizational, leadership and supervision skills.

  • Be proficient in basic computer programs including, but not limited to, Word, Excel and Microsoft Operating Systems. Applicants must be able to correspond timely through e-mail, phone, text messaging or other forms of technical communication as needed.

  • Ability to delegate tasks and projects and make independent decisions

  • Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs.

  • Regular, dependable and reliable attendance.

Experience, education and additional training are considered and factored into starting pay.

 

Caregiver 

Caregivers will assist with activities of daily living, provide compassionate care to residents, and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction of the Administrator. We offer a positive work environment where together we make a difference in the lives of the residents that call Cedar Ridge home.

Job Summary:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living according to their care plans

  • Provide compassionate, life enriching care to residents

  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment

  • Monitor residents and report any changes in condition

  • Ensure HIPAA privacy of resident information

  • Communicate and interact in a professional and respectful manner with residents, families, visitors, and counterparts

  • Comply with the Cedar Ridge Mission Statement, Values, Policies and Procedures

 

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years or older

  • Experience preferred - training provided

  • Ability to read, write and follow instructions

  • Must be able to multi-task, and work effectively and efficiently

  • Must be reliable

Starting Pay is $12/hr if required CBRF training has been completed or upon completion; plus $1 NOC differential. Training is provided.

Experience, education and additional training are also considered and factored into starting base pay.
